Short: CAF - Collect Aminet Files (with source)
Author: kbryd@femina.com.pl (Karol Bryd) BLABLA PRODUCT
Uploader: kbryd@femina.com.pl (Karol Bryd)
Type: util/misc
Version: 0.0.1 (99-Apr-08)
This program will collect any Aminet archives on your hard disk,
create Aminet directory tree and copy there those files that
are Aminet archives.
Also, in case when there is no extracted #?.readme file CAF will
try to extract it from archive.
Usage:
CAF <archives path> <aminet tree path> <temp path> [SIMULATE]
<archives path> - tells CAF where to look for archives
<aminet tree path> - tells CAF where to create tree of
Aminet directories
<temp path> - path for temporary files, usually T:
[SIMULATE] - this will only simulate, it means that files
will be only copied and not deleted
Example:
CAF dh2:downloaded_stuff dh2:my_aminet_cd t:
This will scan path "dh2:downloaded_stuff" and all Aminet
directories will be copied to their original directories
in "dh2:my_aminet_cd", temporary files will be "t:".
So an archive from "dev/misc" found in "dh2:downloaded_stuff"
will be moved to "dh2:my_aminet_cd/dev/misc"
There are three conditions that must be fulfilled:
- a file must be an archive
- an archive must have a #?.readme file, whether in archive
or outside of it
- a #?.readme file must contain string "Type:"
I have enclosed program's source, since it is under GNU license
you can do almost anything with it...read COPYING file for more
informations.
